Lighthouse camp

Tomorrow I am going to start a Christian based camp which is called lighthouse. There are lots of them all over the country.

Some of you might know about Lighthouse or go there but for those of you who don’t know, it happens once a year, for a week, in the summer and takes place on large open fields where they pitch their tents.

Lighthouse is a daytime camp for 4 – 12 year old’s which teaches kids about Christianity. It isn’t completely driven by Christianity though, there is lots of arts and crafts, drama and games and there are amazing opportunities to make lots of friends and have a very fun week.

Because there is such a wide range of ages, the years get split up so all the different years do different things during the day. Because so many people go and the age groups are so massive they have to be split up into semi-groups of about 15-25 children.

Because I am now over twelve I am able to volunteer to help out with the years or the activities they do during the day and this is the first year I have decided to help out. I am helping out with a group of six year old’s.

For the next week I am planning to write a diary on how my week is going.

Fact of the day: On Jupiter and Saturn it rains diamonds.

Joke of the day: What is Beethoven’s favourite fruit? Banananaaaaa

Riddle of the day: What side of a cat has more fur?

If you know the answer to the riddle leave it in the comments below. Drop a like if you enjoy reading my posts and want me to write more. Also remember to tell me in the comments if you like the joke I put up there today.
